When you look in the mirror, are your eyes drawn to your crooked teeth? If so, you’ve probably considered straightening them, but the idea of wearing metal braces makes you cringe. However, there is a solution to the problem of your misaligned smile – Clear Correct. These translucent plastic aligner trays are worn over your teeth to shift your smile over the course of 8 to 12 months on average. This is significantly faster than with traditional braces. If you’re ready to straighten your smile in record time, just give us a call!
Clear Correct uses a series of clear plastic aligners instead of metal brackets and wires to move your teeth into a more desired position. You’ll wear each set for at least 22 hours a day for a couple of weeks before moving on to the next set. Essentially, you’ll only remove the aligners to eat, drink, and clean your teeth. Because the aligners are removable, they won’t impose any dietary restrictions like traditional braces do. You also won’t need to visit the dentist as often as you would with braces. Simply see your cosmetic dentist in Indian Land every few weeks to receive your next series of aligners and evaluate your progress.
Several common orthodontic issues can be corrected with Clear Correct, such as:
When your teeth are too close together, it can be hard to correctly brush and floss them, leaving you at a higher risk of cavities and gum disease. Clear Correct can line up your teeth more properly.
In addition to widely being considered unattractive, gaps between teeth can more easily trap bits of food that attract harmful bacteria. Clear Correct can shift your teeth into the correct alignment.
Issues with your bite alignment can place pressure on your jaw joint, resulting in problems like jaw clenching and teeth grinding. Clear Correct can correct problems like overbite, underbite, and crossbite.
Choosing to straighten your smile with Clear Correct comes with many advantages over metal braces, including:
It’s impossible to give you an estimate of how much you’ll have to pay for Clear Correct in Indian Land without your coming in for a consultation first. This is because there are several factors that can influence your final cost, such as your age, the severity of your dental misalignment, and how dedicated you are to wearing your aligners. Dr. Candon can give you a more precise estimate at your consultation.
Until then, here’s some information that can help you to budget for the procedure.
As we mentioned a moment ago, there are several factors that can affect what your ClearCorrect treatment will finally cost. The longer that your treatment takes, the more trays that you’ll need and the likelihood that you’ll need to pay for extra aligners. In this way, the overall cost of ClearCorrect aligners has to do with both the severity of your misalignment and in how diligent you are with wearing your aligners.
ClearCorrect and other clear aligners have become incredibly popular in recent years, and consequently there have been several competitors that have cropped up. Smile Direct Club™ and other companies offer mail-to-order aligner kits. They promise to offer you the same treatment that you would get from professional aligner kits from the comfort of your home.
However, these kits offer little to no professional oversight, which offers plenty of potential for things to go wrong. In some cases, unsupervised use of these kits may even cause more harm than good. If you want something that works, professionally administered ClearCorrect is the safest way to go.
It’s not a guarantee that your dental plan will even cover any kind of orthodontic care, and even if they do, ClearCorrect is usually not included in that. However, we’ll still take the time to talk to your dental plan about coverage, as some plans will be willing to cover the cost of ClearCorrect.
You should also check if you have an FSA account, as this may go a long way to making aligner treatment affordable.
Even if you don’t have insurance, or if yours won’t cover ClearCorrect, we have other options available to you that may make aligners a bit more affordable.
For one, if you have spent a lot of time with us, you may be interested in our membership plan. For a flat annual fee, you will be afforded a host of complementary services and a 20% discount on all other care.
We also work with CareCredit, a financing firm that can split the cost of our services into monthly payments. With everything available to you, you shouldn’t have to let finances get in the way of straightening your smile.
Straightening your teeth is a big transformation for your smile. Before jumping into Clear Correct treatment, you may have several questions on your mind. Here at BridgeMill Dental Care, we want you to feel nothing but excitement about your new and improved smile and feel prepared to start. We’ve answered some questions here for your convenience, but if you have others, don’t hesitate to give us a call and schedule a consultation. We are happy to meet with you!
If you take proper care of your aligners and follow instructions, they should remain completely transparent. You should avoid drinking anything but water while wearing your aligners. To drink coffee, juice, tea, and other drinks, simply remove the aligners, rinse your mouth with water, and place the aligners back in. Also, be sure to clean your aligners every day. After brushing and flossing your own teeth, gently brush your aligners and rinse them with warm (not hot) water to keep plaque from accumulating on them.
Although Clear Correct involves significantly less discomfort than traditional braces, you’ll likely experience a little bit of soreness, particularly when you switch to a new set of aligners. After all, you’re making your teeth shift! This symptom just means that treatment is working. During those days when you have minor soreness, you can take over-the-counter pain medication and eat soft foods. Make sure you continue to wear your aligners as instructed for at least 22 hours every day so that you can keep progressing toward your dream smile.
Call us right away! We understand that at some point during treatment a clear aligner may be misplaced and difficult to find. That’s why you should always use your case to store your aligners while you eat. If you do lose an aligner, give our office a call so that we can quickly replace it and help you stay on track with your treatment.
Depending on what insurance plan you have, part of the cost of Clear Correct treatment may be covered. Our team has the expertise to help you maximize your coverage and save as much as possible. If you don’t have insurance, you can join our Membership Plan and receive a 20 percent discount on treatment. To avoid paying the entire fee upfront, you can also apply for financing through CareCredit to separate the cost into monthly payments.
